Bought for my KRZR phone pretty much plug and play, allows me to buy any off the shelf headset with the std. 3.5mm plug. The sound quality is good but just as a word of warning you can’t answer calls unless you unplug the unit first.

As far as sound goes, the Motorola 3.5mm headset adapter does not assist or hinder the quality of your music. Which is great, because that is one less thing you now have to worry about. It simplifies the equation to two things: your device and headset. My only qualm would be between the plug for the 3.55mm jack and the adapter piece is a thin, flimsy wire that feels like it may snap with a good tug. Considering the adapter, however, can be bought at a measly $5, I still give it 5 stars.

Found this product after Alltel & RadioShack told me no such adapter was available! Bought it for use with my new Razr v3m – works great – stereo sound AND my favorite headphones. As stated in another review, you DO have to unplug to answer a call however.
